The wall between musician and listener (artist and art appreciator) should be knocked down. The artist often contributes to the building of the wall through his/her love of money, apathy, moral compartmentalism, and pride.
The art appreciator often contributes to the maintenance of the wall through his/her worship of a fellow sinner.
Art for the sake of art is nothing more than a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal (I Corinthians chapter 13.) Christians have a higher calling.
